The word usage of catalogue, homologue and monologue in US English is difficult for me to understand.

Could someone please help me understand?

Thanks!

Thanks for bringing this up, Kinjal.

The above words are strictly used with "logue" endings in UK English, but in US English, both "catalogue" and "catalog" (and the like) are acceptable, provided consistency is maintained.

However, there is an exception: the word "analogue". You will find interesting answers when you when you look up this word in US and UK dictionaries.
